Circus Theatre Program

That’s right! The Academy Circus is proud to launch our first Circus Theatre Program Production! In this program, we are combining the many arts of Circus, Acrobatics, Dance, AND Theatre! Experience in all aspects is NOT necessary as we are opening our auditions to all of London, and the surrounding area – and part of joining our Circus Theatre Program is learning about the Arts with which you are not familiar; this will be your chance to not only audition for a theatrical show directed by our Head Coach of Dance, Shaidon Woods, World Performer and Choreographer, who specializes in Musical Theatre, but also the chance to work with two more brilliant artistic minds of our generation - Meaghan Wegg and Tim Buckley! Meaghan is a former Cirque du Soleil Professional, World Renowned Choreographer who specializes in the art of Hoop, and wrote the first Aerial Arts Syllabus. Tim is a former Cirque du Soleil Physiotherapist from Australia who doubles as a Professional Recording Artist on Apple Music and specializes in music theory with vocals and writing. All of these elements will be incorporated into our production and will be taught to you respectively as a part of the program! Come and audition to show us your specialty! This is a paid program with thr cost of $200.00+ tax. The two shows (evening and matinee) are on April 22, 2023 -  with the rehearsal process starting in January 2023! Thursdays from 7:30PM - 9:00PM and Saturdays 2:00PM - 4:00PM - When you sign up for an audition, you will receive the Audition Package which has even more information for you to be prepared; including what to prepare for your audition (For example, if you'd like a speaking or singing role, please prepare a song from our list in the package, we have script exceprts to read from, etc.) Not everyone who dances must join the speaking role auditions, but everyone who signs up for a speaking/singing role must stay/return for the dance auditon at the end.
