About the Intensive

The Academy Circus School is proud to offer summer camps designed for students seeking advanced training through our one-week intensive, SELECTED. Our Acrobatic Arts-certified coaches, alongside guest instructors from the professional circus and dance industries, will guide participants through high-level training and skill development.

Introducing our new mini division *SELECTED MINI* perfect for young students ages 7-8 eager to experience elite circus arts training. Throughout the camp, students will engage in specialized disciplines, develop key motivational skills, and build a strong foundation for the demands of circus arts. Our highly qualified instructors, top experts in dance, circus, and acrobatics, are dedicated to helping students reach their highest potential.

Intensive Training Times (half days)

9:00 am to 12:00 pm Daily

*The last day of camp will finish off with a performance for the parents to attend at 12:00 pm

Classes offered:

AcroDance, Tumbling, Contortion, Hand Balancing, Aerial Hoop, Aerial Silks, Aerial Hammock, Hip Hop & Jazz, Nutrition, Injury Prevention, Circus Arts (juggling, Tightrope walking etc) Specialty Aerial Classes (Weggsphere, Flying Pole etc), Acrobatic specialty classes (Teeter Board, Hoop Diving)

Student Profile

To register for our summer intensive camp you must achieve the following:

-be within the camp ages of 7-8

-currently practicing circus arts, dance, acrobatics, martial arts, artistic or rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline or figure skating.

-be in good physical condition

-complete your online application form

-submit your photos

-pay the camp fee

As spaces are limited, The Academy Circus School reserves the right to select the applicants.

Registration Requirements:

Please note: photos do not need to be professionally taken, can just be with your phone

-1 head shot photo

-1 photo in action performing a skill or a jump

-5 photos showing your flexibility in splits(3), bridge (1), pike (1)

(right splits, left splits, centre splits, bridge with straight legs, pike standing *pre forward bend)

-Limited to 15 students for this MINI intensive

Summer Intensive Application

3. Once everything has been completed you will hit the Submit Now button to direct you to pay the Summer Intensive fee for 1 week, $295 plus HST.
